Taiga Defence Army
The Taiga Defence Army (Tayga Armiya Oborony) is a ragtag paramilitary comprised of people who either live in or have volunteered to protect the forest from harm. It originally started as a protest group to stop corporations dumping and drilling in the forest, but quickly turned violent and now hide from the authorities deep in the forest. Their HQ is located in an abandoned mining facility with several outposts dotted on the map. They constantly fight against the Corporations for control and influence over the woodlands. Their arsenal is a huge variety of weapons that have been brought over, captured or salvaged. Vehicles have also been reported bearing their symbol, improvised and captured. They are wanted by the authorities for sabotage, theft, violence and other reasons. Most members refer to each other by nickname and are trained by an ex-soldier who lives in the woods and they happened to stumble upon him.

Nimble
Real name: Miroslav Komorowski
Age: 23
Nationality: Polish
Miroslav Komorowski, Nimble by the TDA or Leftie by his gang, is a criminal and hooligan (dres) from Poland. He was born in 1989 and raised in Warsaw and comes from a middle-class family, but left to pursue a life of crime and joined the Ochota Gang (Banda Ochota).
He is fast, sporty and mostly gets into trouble with the police, shootouts with rival gangs and other criminal activity. He is often described as a walking joke book, spouting witty remarks and comebacks.
He is also known for his crazy handgun skills and carries a pair of WIST-94s in his hoodie pockets. Despite his nickname "Leftie", he is actually ambidextrous which comes in handy in some situations.
Techie
Real name: Lars Berglund
Age: 22
Nationality: Swedish
Lars "Techie" Berglund (username - MasterSwede117) is an occasional hacker from Sundsvall in Sweden, now tech specialist and radio operator in the TDA.
His mother is a businesswoman and he still lives with her, he never knew his father but hopes he will get to see him. He enrolled at college for a while, but he dropped out because he preferred to play games more than doing work.
He wears a Swedish Army parka (M90), grey jumper and jeans. He doesn't shave or wash very often, and spends more time downloading porn and playing games than doing something useful. Although he holds mostly left-wing opinions, he is largely anti-immigrant and wants to see immigration capped in his country. Because of his views on immigration and multiculturalism, he is the victim of constant harassment from neo-liberals and a gang of socialists.
His main duties in the TDA are to intercept transmissions, fix any electric equipment and test homemade devices such as radios and early warning systems.
Grease
Real name: Kaljo Sepp
Age: 45
Nationality: Estonian
Kaljo "Grease" Sepp is a middle-aged engineer and driver from Estonia. During the Soviet era, he repaired vehicles, drove forklifts, buses, lorries and test drove new models. After Estonia gained independence, he became a bus driver for a small bus company. Thanks to his experience with Cold War-era technology, he is quite skilled with maintaining and repairing Soviet equipment.
After taking a detour from the planned route to the rally, he now builds guns and other weapons for the TDA, drives, arms and repairs vehicles. He is incredibly patriotic and refers to other Baltic members as "brothers in arms". He can sing the Estonian national anthem rather well. He carries a revolving shotgun (Piper) and a smuggled H&K USP (incase someone tries to hijack him). The day he was driving the group to the Northern Taiga was meant to be his day off, until a sudden turn of events dragged him into the war and now he helps the TDA. Back in Tallinn, he has a wife and two children, who share a small flat.
Cook
Real name: Jim Urquhart
Age: 24
Nationality: Scottish
Jim "Cook" Urquhart is a kitchen chef from Inverness, Scotland. He lives with his parents on their cattle farm in the highlands, and is an outspoken supporter of Scottish independence.
He is also an insomniac and spends most of the day trying to sleep or cooking food, or keeping himself busy until he falls tired. However his sleeplessnes has been helpful to the TDA, as he can take up night shifts and sneak up on opponents easier from years of wildlife spotting in the highlands. He is fluent in Scottish Gaelic and has a vast knowledge of his country's history. it is also hinted he may have descended from a highland clan.
He tends to be quite moody when he hasn't had enough rest, but once he has had a decent night's sleep, he is mostly calm and sociable. He spends most of his time out in the field with the others, on scouting missions and skirmishes. When he is not on missions, he is usually cooking in the makeshift kitchen; using any ingredients others bring back from the wilderness.
Surgeon
Real name: Jonas Petrauskas
Age: 23
Nationality: Lithuanian
Jonas "Patch"/"Surgeon" Petrauskas is a Lithuanian medic in the TDA. Originally a medical assistant and failed to become a doctor due to his unconventional methods and short-sightedness. He is quite fidgity and needs to be constantly occupied by something or he becomes restless. Despite these disadvantages, he has a keen eye for detail and knows precisely how to treat wounds, even if his methods are unusual. Although he prefers working in the infirmary, he does go out and perform field work when on missions with the group.
He is seen as incredibly plain, with no care for appearance or fashion; which explains his casual combination of bright green polo neck jumper, brown chinos, walking shoes and green field hat (which he got from his father). He cares more about results and performance, than actual how people dress or look. Much like Deadeye, he is also a pacificist and prefers to use rhetoric skills to resolve problems, rather than using force.
Lazh
Real name: Olena Tereshchenko
Age: 20
Nationality: Ukrainian
Olena "Lazh" Tereshchenko is an activist from Kyiv, Ukraine. She earned her nom de guerre because she carries an AKS-74U (Ka-lazh-nikov), which was given to her. She is often cheery, light-hearted and warms up a lot of people around her, but does get serious every now and then (especially when she gets emotional). She also enjoys playing video games, petting animals and learning how to fight. The only time she seems to get angry is when someone mentions Putin in front of her, ignores her or is just a downright horrible person.
She is quite artistic and designed the symbols of the Taiga Defence Army, along with the Taiga Defence Alliance later on.

Leon
Real name: Unknown

Nationality: Unknown
The mysterious leader of the TDA, who is well-known for his charismatic leadership and rallying support for his environmental cause. Very little is known about him, since he always hides his face behind a gas mask and rarely mentions his own life to anyone. While his main reasons for attacking the corporations remains unclear, he only goes after large companies that threaten the environment. The media and many people believe that his name is actually an alias, used to mask his true identity.
